Swing the cloud by the rainbow tail to send the it soaring high into the sky! These clouds are perfect for park visits or open spaces as they can travel far.
I made these adorable little clouds as take home gifts for my daughter’s rainbow birthday party, filling them with love and good wishes. When I struggled to find a rainbow printed fabric or ribbon of the right size, a dear friend of mine designed us a rainbow. This rainbow is extra special as written in the purple and blue layers of the rainbow are the words ‘Friends make Birthdays better’. The clouds have an inner cushion of calico stuffed with coarse river sand. They are then padded with wadding to make them softer. The outer is made from a plush minky fabric with the tail of cotton specially printed rainbow fabric.
They are truly a special gift of good wishes from our family to yours.
You may ask why I made so many. Fair question. Getting 1 metre of rainbows printed would have given me 19 tails. Given I was aiming for around 25 guests I bought 2 metres. Then made all the tails up as you never know when some might fail or extra guests turn up.
My extra work is your gain!
But what about the price?
On these particular soaring clouds I’ve donated my labour as they were a gift to the children who came to celebrate with us. However they were a lot of work. If I do a second run I will charge for that labour so I’ve allowed for that in pricing. Just to avoid possible later confusion. Therefore I have discounted this special run of clouds.
