I’ve been meaning to make moon sand for a while. She’s been so grumpy lately with her teeth coming through that I’ve been chasing my tail trying to get all my things done and keep her calm.
Today I mixed her up some moon sand for her to play with. The recipe is very easy it’s just 2 cups of plain flour to 1/4 cup of oil. I tossed in some powdered food dye, and those that saw the finger painting images won’t be surprised to read that I put a little too much colour.
We were playing inside today as it was a bit drab and drizzly outside fortunately I put down a sheet first, it made clean up a lot easier.
I had planned on keeping the sand for another day (adding more flour to balance out the dye) put her straight into the bath as soon as she was done. While she was in the bath the dog started on clean up for me eating some of the sand. I thought it best to toss the lot. I’ll make more another time.
